We’re looking for an innovative, forward-thinking Controller who has both strategic vision and hands-on experience. Our candidate, who will report to the COO, is someone who likes to make things better, faster, more useful and scalable. You’re collaborative. You like to work with others to make the information from your department more meaningful to the end-user and you’re not afraid to think outside the box or to try new things.
You’ve implemented systems, assessed operations and developed budget and forecasting tools for both short and long-term planning. You have worked in a growing company and understand the balance between strategic planning and the sometimes-hands-on nature of implementing the strategy.
In summary, you like being a big fish in a smaller pond and are excited by a diverse agenda. You want to be at the center of the entire financial operations of company as it continues its strong growth trajectory.

ArcherStanley Group, LLC has been engaged by a $500M company in Bethesda, MD in the search for a Corporate Accounting Manager. You will manage a team of four and report directly to the Controller. Your team is responsible revenue recognition. intercompany accounting, preparing the consolidated financials, and analysis, just to name a few tasks. Your manager is from public accounting and understands that a shift in thinking is needed to move from being a great auditor to a great Accounting Manager.
This role is interactive and there is a great deal of contact with other managers and directors throughout the company. You'll have opportunities to sit in C suite meetings and to interact with the auditors and other external consultants at the highest level. You can expect to be treated with a great deal of respect and the company welcomes this new addition to the team.
